PERSONAL INJURY
We provide friendly and personal service to our clients. We will take the time to answer your questions, explain the claim resolution process, and address any concerns you may have. You will be able to contact your attorney directly. We respond to all phone calls and emails promptly. You will be kept fully informed about the status of the claim.
AUTO ACCIDENTS
We have extensive experience helping drivers, passengers, pedestrians, motorcyclists and bicyclists who have suffered a loss due to an automobile accident or collision, including claims arising from road maintenance or design problems, drug or alcohol impaired drivers, commercial trucks or vehicles, intersection accidents, rear end collisions, on city streets and country roads, or even parking lots. Over the years, we have represented adults and children who have suffered all types of injuries including wrongful death, burns, fractures, internal injuries, concussions or traumatic brain injuries, neck or back disc injuries, and sprain or strain injuries.
We will make certain that all the hospital and medical bills are resolved and out of pocket expenses are recovered. We know how to handle benefit reimbursement requests from insurance companies so they share in the cost of recovering fair compensation in appropriate situations. If you retain our legal services soon after the accident, we will provide any assistance you need with the claim initiation process, especially the completion and submission of the tedious but necessary claim paperwork and insurance benefit applications. We do not charge for any help you may need with vehicle repairs or total loss, property damage and rental cars.
If a wrongful death is involved, we handle all necessary estate or probate court proceedings and obtain any required court approvals of settlement proposals or distribution of the proceeds of a lawsuit for wrongful death.
DOG BITES
Many people, especially young children, are seriously injured every year by unprovoked dog bites or attacks. We know how to prove fault, responsibility or liability on the part of the animal owner or custodian. The old adage frequently offered by insurance claim representatives “that every dog is entitled to one free bite” is not correct if you work with attorneys like us who have represented numerous dog bite victims.
ON THE JOB INJURIES
If you are hurt while working for an employer, depending on the circumstances, you may be able to seek traditional pain and suffering or non-economic damages, in addition to the workers’ compensation benefits you are entitled to by law, or, your remedies may be limited to those available under the workers’ compensation laws and regulations in the applicable state. You need experienced legal representation to assist you with the insurance companies and any issues or problems involving your employer and your job.
MEDICAL MALPRACTICE
Everyone makes mistakes. Hospitals and medical providers make mistakes that result in serious injuries and sometimes death. Medical malpractice claims are usually difficult and costly to pursue. An expensive expert medical witness is almost always necessary. Experienced legal counsel with adequate resources to pursue the claim to a successful conclusion is essential.
DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS
Serious injuries or deaths caused by defective products are also often difficult and costly claims to pursue. Evidence of the defective nature of the product must be preserved. It is increasingly common for suppliers, manufacturers and distributors located in foreign countries to be involved in the product distribution chain. As with most medical malpractice claims, an experienced attorney with adequate resources is essential to successfully pursue an injury or death claim resulting from a defective product.
CHILD ABUSE
If you or a loved one are the victim of intentional abuse experienced as a child, recovering compensation for the damages may still be possible long after other types of injury claims cannot be pursued because of the passage of time. Special laws apply to child abuse claims. The abuser is often a trusted friend or family member, or, the abuse occurred within the context of a school, church, youth sport or similar activities involving children. No one should suffer the rest of their life from the trauma caused by intentional child abuse. We have obtained fair compensation for abuse victims in numerous cases.
Free Phone Interview
Martin, Elliott & Snell offers a free 15 minute phone interview to explore whether one of our attorneys can serve your legal needs. You will speak directly with a lawyer not a legal assistant. We handle claims for injuries of all kinds and wrongful death on a contingency basis. We are not paid a fee unless fair compensation for the loss suffered is recovered by settlement or after trial.
The brief free phone interview is not an in depth consultation and no legal advice regarding the particular claim will be offered. For that, you will need to schedule an office legal consultation, for which there may be a charge depending on the circumstances. The phone interview DOES NOT create an attorney client relationship or an obligation for us to provide any additional services. It is intended to help you decide if you would like to retain our services.
